State Bank of India invites online applications from Indian citizens for appointment in following Specialist Cadre Officers posts in State Bank Group. Candidates are requested to apply online through link given in
“careers with us” section of Bank’s website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in

PLEASE NOTE THAT
1.
A candidate can apply for only one post under this project.
2.
The process of Registration of application is completed only when fee is deposited with the Bank through Online mode.
3.
Before applying, candidates are requested to ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the post as on the date of eligibility. Admission to online test will be purely provisional without verification of documents. Candidature will be subject to verification of details/documents when the candidate report for interview if called.
4.
Candidates, applying for a particular post where two or more Banks have shown vacancies, should submit only one application. Preference of Banks will be taken at the time of interview. Allotment of Bank will be done on the basis of ranking of the candidate in the merit list.

Deputy Manager (Law) and Assistant Manager (System): The scale of pay applicable to different grades are furnished above. The officials will be eligible for DA, HRA. CCA, PF, Contributory Pension Fund, LFC, Medical Facility etc. as per rules in force from time to time.

NOTE:

1.        Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming in the ‘creamy layer’ are not entitled to OBC reservation and age relaxation. They should indicate their category as ‘GENERAL’ or GENERAL (OH), as applicable.
2.        Maximum age indicated is for General category candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit will be available as detailed under Para 1 point No. ‘a’ below.
3.        The number of vacancies including reserved vacancies mentioned above are provisional and vary according to the actual requirement of the Bank.

A person who wants to avail of benefit of reservation would have lo submit a Disability Certificate as per format prescribed by Minislry of Social Justice and Empowermenf Notification No. G.S.R. 2 (E) dated 30.12.2009. e) HI: HEARING Impairment: Means loss of sixty decibels or more in the better ear in the Conversational range of frequencies. Use of Scribe & Compensatory Time: i) The facility of Scribe/Reader Would be allowed to any person who has disability of 40% or more and has physical limitation to write including that of speed if so desired by the person. The compensatory time (20 minutes for every hour) would be applicable to such Candidates. ii) Candidates with low vision will be allowed compensatory time while writing the examination regardless of whether they opt or amanuenses/scribe or self writing or with the help of assistive devices like magnifier. iii) The scribe will be allowed to be used as per the guidelines issued vide Office Memorandum F. No, 16-110/2003-DD.III dated February 26, 2013 of Government of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of Disability Affairs, New Delhi and clarification issued by Government of India, Ministry of Finance Deptt. of Financial Services vide letter F. No.3/2/2013 - Welfare dated 26.04.2013. iv) Any candidate who is not eligible to Use scribe as per the guidelines referred to above and uses scribe in the written examination shall be disqualified to participate further in the recruitment process. Any candidate who is using scribe should ensure that he/she is eligible to use scribe in the examination as per the above guidelines. Any candidate using scribe in violation of the above guidelines shall stand disqualified and can be removed from service without notice, if has already joined the Bank. 3. PROBATION: To be decided by the competent authority. 4. SELECTION PROCEDURE : (i) Deputy Manager (Law) and Assistant Manager (System): The selection of candidates will be on the basis of online written test and interview. The test will be conducted tentatively on 17.01.2016 The date of test will be uploaded on Bank’s website and also advised to the candidates through SMS and e mails. Candidates will be required to download the call letters. The test may be held at Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bangalore, Bhopal, Raipur, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Jammu, Srinagar, Chennai, Madurai, Guwahati, Hyderabad / Secunderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Kolkata / Greater Kolkata, Lucknow, Varanasi, Mumbai / Greater Mumbai / Thane / Navi Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Dehradun, Jaipur, New Delhi/ Delhi / NCR, Patna, Ranchi, Ernakulam & Trivandrum centres. The Bank, however, reserves the right to add or delete any centre and allot the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for. *Qualifying in nature and marks thereon will not be reckoned for arriving at the Merit list.
Test will be held on-line. Wherever there will be no test, short-listing and interviews will be held.Where number of applications is less, Bank reserves the right to consider selection of the candidate(s) through shortlisting and interview, instead of test & interview.

a)      Except  Professional  Knowledge  (PK)  paper,  other  papers  will  be  of  qualifying  in  nature.
Candidates have to score minimum qualifying marks in these papers. The minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank. The questions will be bilingual i.e. in Hindi & English. The candidates will have option to answer the questions in Hindi or English (except for test of English Language).
b)      To be eligible for being short-listed for interview, candidates have to score equal to or above the cut-off marks to be decided by the Bank for the PK test, besides scoring equal to or above the Minimum qualifying marks in other tests.
c)      Candidates must secure equal to or more than the minimum qualifying marks (to be decided by the Bank) in interview to be considered for selection. In the interview, the candidate can opt for Hindi also.
d)      In case more than one candidate score the cut off marks (common mark at cut off point), such candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order, both in the select list as well as in the wait list.
Interview : Adequate number of candidates as decided by the Bank will be called for Interview. The qualifying marks in Interview will be as decided by the Bank.
Merit List : for selection will be prepared in descending order on the basis of scores obtained in PK test and interview.

1.         CALL LETTERS FOR EXAMINATION:

The candidates should download their call letter and an “acquaint yourself” booklet by entering their registration number and password / date of birth, from the Bank’s website. NO HARD COPY OF THE CALL LETTER / ACQUAINT YOURSELF BOOKLET WILL BE SENT BY POST.
2.         PROOF OF IDENTITY TO BE SUBMITTED AT THE TIME OF EXAMINTION: The candidates must
bring one photo identity proof such as Passport / Adhar / PAN Card / Driving Licence / Voter’s Card
/ Bank Passbook with duly attested Photograph by the Branch Manager / Identity Card issued by College or Institution/Gazetted Officer in the official letter head, in original as well as a self attested Photocopy thereof. The photocopy of Identity proof should be submitted along with call letter to the invigilators in the examination hall, failing which or if identity of candidates is in doubt the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the test.
3.         ACTION AGAINST CANDIDATES FOUND GUILTY OF MISCONDUCT: Candidates are cautioned
that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered/ fabricated and they should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form.
At the time of examination/interview, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:
(i)       using unfair means during the examination or (ii) impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or (iii) misbehaving in the examination hall or (iv) resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for selection or (v) obtaining support for his/her candidature by any unfair means, such a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution, will also be liable :
a)         to be disqualified from the examination for which he/she is a candidate
b)         to be debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from any examination or recruitment conducted by Bank.
4.             The Bank would be analysing the responses of a candidate with other appeared candidates to detect patterns of similarity. On the basis of such an analysis, if it is found that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine / valid, the Bank reserves the right to cancel his/ her candidature.

5.           USE OF MOBILE PHONES, PAGERS, CALCULATOR OR ANY SUCH DEVICES:

(i)          Mobile phones, pagers or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail cancellation of candidature and disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.
(ii)         Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned item including mobile phones/ pagers to the venue of the examination, as arrangement for safekeeping cannot be assured.
(iii)        Candidates are not permitted to use or have in possession of calculators in examination premises.

6.           GENERAL INFORMATION:

(i)          Candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post applied for. The Bank would admit to the online test all the candidates applying for the posts with the requisite fee on the basis of the information furnished in the online application and shall determine their eligibility only at the time of interview.
(ii)         Candidates serving in Govt./Quasi Govt. offices, Public Sector undertakings including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions are advised to submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from their employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.
(iii)        In case of selection, candidates will be required to produce proper discharge certificate from the employer at the time of taking up the appointment.
(iv)        Caste certificate issued by Competent Authority on format prescribed by the Government of India will have to be submitted by the SC/ST candidates, if called for interview.
(v)         A declaration will have to be submitted in the prescribed format by candidates seeking reservation under OBC category stating that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer as on 30.11.2015.
OBC certificate containing the ‘Non-creamy layer’ clause, issued during the period 01.04.2015 to the date of interview, should be submitted by such candidates, if called for interview.
(vi)        Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection / inability / failure to log on to the website on account of heavy load on internet or website jam.
(vii)       SBI does not assume any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date on account of aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the control of SBI.
(viii)      Not more than one application should be submitted by a candidate. In case of multiple applications, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained and the application fee
/ intimation charges paid for the other registrations will stand forfeited. Multiple attendance/ appearance by a candidate in online examination and/ interview will be summarily rejected/ candidature cancelled.
(ix)        The possibility for occurrence of some problems in the administration of the examination cannot be ruled out completely, which may impact test delivery and/ or result from being generated. In that event, every effort will be made to rectify such problem, which may include the conduct of another examination if considered necessary.
(x)         IN CASE IT IS DETECTED AT ANY STAGE OF RECRUITMENT THAT A CANDIDATE DOES NOT FULFIL THE ELIGIBILITY NORMS AND / OR THAT HE / SHE HAS FURNISHED ANY INCORRECT / FALSE INFORMATION OR HAS SUPPRESSED ANY MATERIAL FACT(S), HIS / HER CANDIDATURE WILL STAND CANCELLED. IF ANY OF THESE SHORTCOMINGS IS / ARE DETECTED EVEN AFTER APPOINTMENT, HIS /HER SERVICES ARE LIABLE TO BE TERMINATED.
(xi)        Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID alive for receiving advices, viz. call letters/ Interview advices etc.
(xii)       Appointment of selected candidates is subject to his /her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank concerned.
(xiii)      DECISIONS OF BANK IN ALL MATTERS REGARDING ELIGIBILITY, CONDUCT OF EXAMINATION, OTHER TESTS AND SELECTION  WOULD  BE  FINAL  AND  BINDING ON ALL CANDIDATES. NO REPRESENTATION OR CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERTAINED BY THE BANK IN THIS REGARD.
(xiv)     Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and/or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Mumbai and courts/tribunals/ forums at Mumbai only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any cause/dispute.
